Hey all, today we're introducing some new additions to our store; Home Slots and Emote Append Slots, as well as a change to one of the existing store categories. At the end of this news post, we'll also share details on some new additions coming to the Underworld!
These new store additions come after we posted an announcement on our Discord talking about the server financials. If you'd like to read through that, you can find the Discord announcement here.

New Store Additions
With the new Home Slots and Emote Append Slots we're adding, we had to give them a place to live on the store. We've changed the 'Wardrobe & Character Slots' category to be called 'Extras' where you'll be able to buy extra perks on TallTalesRP.
You will continue to find Wardrobe Slots & Character Slots in the Extras category. Here's all the Extras you can buy:
- Wardrobe Slots - buy extra wardrobe slots.
- Character Slots - buy extra character slots.
- Home Slots - buy extra home slots.
- Emote Append Slots - buy extra emote append slots/uses.

In the Extras category, you can now buy extra Home Slots, as well as extra Emote Append Slots. Ranks will still receive more homes and emote appends, buying extras are added on top of ones received from ranks!
Home Slots allow you to set additional homes around Eldorath & the Underworld that you can teleport to. Previously, everyone had access to setting 1 home unless you had Gold rank which allowed you to set up to 2, or up to 3 with Diamond rank. Due to the fact homes let you teleport anywhere you set them, purchasing extra Home Slots is exclusive to Gold & Diamond ranks only.
Emote Append Slots allow you to use more emote appends per text RP emote you send out, meaning if you run out of chat message space for an emote, you can continue writing it by using appends (adding two dashes '--' to the end of an emote). Extra Emote Append Slots can be purchased by anyone.
There is a limit on how many of each you can purchase. Only up to 10 extra Home Slots can be purchased (so max 14 homes with Diamond rank) and only up to 5 extra Emote Append Slots can be purchased (so max 10 appends with Diamond rank).
When we made it so Character and Wardrobe slots were no longer exclusive to Gold & Diamond ranks, we introduced Gold Discounts which would add a $1 discount to each Character and Wardrobe slot you'd purchase, allowing Gold & Diamond ranks to keep of exclusivity when it comes to buying those extra slots.
Unfortunately, we have made the decision to remove these Gold Discounts on Character and Wardrobe Slots.
There are two reasons behind this decision, the first is that it predominantly stems from what was outlined in the financial analysis we shared publicly on our Discord, you can find the link to that at the top of this news post, second paragraph.
Secondly, we feel that with the new purchasable extra Home Slots being exclusive to Gold & Diamond ranks, it works as a good alternative for a store related perk that those ranks receive exclusively. We hope you understand this decision.
Upcoming Underworld Additions
Below we'll talk about some additions we're adding to the Underworld in the near future, before Part 2 is released which predominantly consists of Omin's Trial.
To create more player-driven roleplay opportunities in the Underworld, we'll be creating AG Caves. These are 2x2x2 chunk areas that players can claim and build in to live in the Underworld, but these caves will come in limited numbers. Players will need to fill out an application to possibly receive a cave.
"In an effort to increase the Adventurer Guild's research capabilities within the Underworld, and to support the ever-expanding curiosity of those who found themselves in Eldorath, we, the Adventuer's Guild will soon be accepting applicants for those who wish to receive a Resident Contract to inhabit a cave.
Maintenance of caves will be handled between both the resident of a cave, and the Adventurer's Guild. However, the we are not liable for any damages a resident receives to their belongings, or for providing protection from Piglins who may be aggressive toward cave residents."

Be on the look out for new mini-storylines that may stem from the presence of these AG caves within the Underworld...
One of the biggest suggestions and bits of feedback we've received since releasing the Underworld is for us to make more ways to obtain Adamantine that would enable roleplay, so that you don't have to grind for it which doesn't promote much roleplay.
We'll be adding new automated quest NPC's that'll allow you to receive Adamantine. These may include fetch and research quests, kill quests, and so on. One that we're hoping to add soon is a Witch NPC that'll ask you to fetch brewing items in the Underworld and you'll receive Adamantine in exchange.
