Using quotations will allow you to speak in character. Using an asterisk (*) will allow you to emote their actions if it comes before a quotation. For example:
“Hello”
“Hello” typing after this will be an action, no asterisk is needed.
“Hello” typing after this will be an action, no asterisk is needed “Hello”
*This would be an action
*This would be an action “Hello”
*This would be an action “Hello” typing after this will be an action, no asterisk is needed.
Minecraft chat has a character limit, so we’ve made it so that you can append a chat emote by putting two dashes (--) at the end of the message to extend it.
Any player can use emojis in OOC and LOOC chat channels. An emoji starts with a colon and ends with one, similar to using an emoji in Discord.
Please make sure to use emojis appropriately! Don’t flood chat with them by repetitively sending emojis or filling an entire chat message with only emojis.
