When I examine the animals that spew forth from these eruptions, I can only marvel and become...bewildered. These creatures are nothing like what we expect life to form like. these...creatures seem to defy all conventional measures of what makes something alive.

For instance, these Ventiwasps seem to propel themselves high into the air using extremely heated hair as propulsion, yet I've found no such organisms through all of the continent that follows this form of motility. These creatures just seem... otherworldly, every question I propose just leads to more and more questions that remain unanswered.

I hate not knowing more than I hate the burns they leave on my skin. I guess time will tell what these...things are.
