In Eldorath, time moves at a faster pace in comparison to time in real life. This is done to maintain narrative immersion, allowing events to take place within a short time frame in real life, yet taking place over a longer period of time in our characters world.
Eldorath moves at a 1:3 (Earth:Eldorath) time ratio. This means that 4 months in real life is equivalent to 1 year in Eldorath. Below you will see Eldorath’s calendar, in comparison to 1 real life year.
The months utilize placeholder names, because we want Mistwalker cultures and nations to come up with their own names for the seasons of Eldorath! Each season is magical in nature, and unique. Pay attention to the weather flash pings to determine what happens during a season.

The Mysterious Ticking Noise
The reason this system has been put in place is to maintain game-play balancing, alongside lore cohesion. This concept allows the 20 minute day-night cycle of Minecraft to continue, while not considering a 20 minute day as the cannon “day”.
Every 72 in-game days, a Cycle occurs. At the end of a Cycle, a loud click followed by a rhythmic ticking can be heard across Eldorath. The sky begins to move for 1 minute, until it has reached its original position once again and a new Cycle begins.
The sky acts comparable to a timer, winding itself up every 72 moons. A Cycle is equal to 1 IRL day, and is the acknowledged measurement of time by Mistwalkers because day-night movements are so fast in Eldorath comparatively to most worlds.
